NEW DELHI, Jan 20 — Two days after they were kicked out of the Delhi election scene, the Badals suffered another major jolt on Wednesday when the Delhi High Court quashed the EoW’s lookout notice for SADD chief Paramjit Singh Sarna while he led the historic Nagar Kirtan to Sri Nankana Sahib during the 550th Parkash Purab celebrations.
The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police, at the behest of the Badals and their mouthpiece MS Sirsa, aimed at sabotaging the Nagar Kirtan to Guru Nanak Sahib’s birthplace.
Sardar Sarna was stopped at the Attari/Wagah border. Party Secretary-General Harvinder Singh Sarna then took the lead and ensured successful culmination of the Nagar Kirtan at Sri Nankana Sahib.
The High Court, in its order, quashed the EoW notice linked to bogus charges, Sardar Sarna told reporters.
“This completes the political decimation of the Badals. They tried to upstage the Guru’s Nagar Kirtan. Within a couple of months, they have been uprooted politically and are biting the dust for manipulating police once again over a Panthak cause. We thank Akal Purakh and Guru Panth for guiding us in Panthak sewa.”
