Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann today asked banks to send farm loan recovery notices to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh rather than the farmers as the former had got filled forms for debt waiver before Assembly elections.
“Congress leaders had got debt-waiver forms filled and announced that the debt would be waived within days of the formation of their government in the state. Banks should now issue recovery notices to the state CM.
The government must immediately direct all banks to stop recovery, as per its poll promise,” Mann said. He was interacting with mediapersons at the house of AAP leader Bachan Bedil at Badrukhan village this morning.
About the registration of a fraud case against AAP party NRI leader Gurminder Singh, he alleged the Congress government had started targeting their party leaders.
“I have started touring villages and we will form our state and district executive bodies soon,” he said.
During its 10-year rule in Punjab, the SAD-BJP government ruined the economy of Punjab and it’s the only reason that the accounts of the Punjab Government has been sealed.
“Former CM Parkash Singh Badal and former FM Parminder Dhindsa must tell the public the reasons behind the sealing of Punjab accounts as both kept saying that the state’s financial accounts were being managed well,” he said.
About weeding out drug menace, Mann said the Congress government in the state should now start action in that direction. “Drugs must be contained, but with proper preparation and not in haste,” he said.
